Miila Gordon (She/Her) is a Bachelor of Community Rehabilitation student (CRDS), minoring in Sociology at the University of Calgary. She is passionate about researching health inequities impacting people assigned female at birth, and the 2SLGBTQQIA+ community. Her research on the healthcare experiences of people with intellectual disabilities and endometriosis was presented at the Canadian Sociological Association (CSA) in 2024 as a research assistant at the Disability and Sexuality lab (DisSex). As a patient partner at EMBRACE, Miila is responsible for knowledge-translation projects, and improving clinical healthcare outcomes for people with PCOS and their lived experiences. Outside of the EMBRACE lab, you can find Miila creating art, or enjoying a good cup of coffee with loved ones.
