Isha Safdar, BSc

Isha Safdar (she/her) holds a Bachelor of Science in Cellular, Molecular, and Microbial Biology from the University of Calgary. Her interest in women’s health research led her to join the EMBRACE Lab as a Research Assistant Community Scholar.

In this role, Isha supports projects focused on conditions such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and related metabolic health. Her work includes participant recruitment, data collection, and literature reviews, helping to ensure that research remains both scientifically rigorous and relevant to the communities it serves. Through these experiences, she aims to help bridge the gap between research and patient perspectives in women’s health.

Outside the lab, Isha enjoys creating intricate henna designs, exploring new cafés, and expressing her creativity through calligraphy art.
