Griffin Brünger (he/him) is a medical student at the University of Calgary. Before starting medical school, he obtained his Bachelor of Nursing in Ontario through a joint program with the University of New Brunswick. As a nurse, he spent time working in Toronto, ON, Whitehorse, YT, and Vancouver, BC in the fields of public health and infectious disease. His interests include clinical education, research, and quality improvement in the areas of sexual health, infection control and outbreaks, antimicrobial stewardship, and emerging infections. As part of the EMBRACE Women’s Health Research Lab, Griffin is working on a systematic review exploring cardiometabolic screening practices in those diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome.
